The “National Centre for Earth Science Studies Internship” scheme by the Earth System Science Organization, Ministry of Earth Sciences, provides various opportunities for school as well as college students to familiarise and/or pursue research on different branches of earth sciences.

Benefit: Certificate of Internship: Certificates will be issued to the interns at the end of successful completion of the Internship. Note: No financial aid /stipend will be provided by this Directorate to the interns.

Launched on 15th August 1995, the "National Family Assistance Scheme" by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Madhya Pradesh provides ₹20,000/- to ensure social security for bereaved families living below the poverty line in case of death of their breadwinner.

Benefit: A one-time financial assistance of ₹20,000/-.

Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹20,000/- is provided to the bereaved household in the case of the natural, unnatural, or accidental death of the primary breadwinner of a family living Below the Poverty Line (BPL).

Benefit: Under this scheme, the eligible family will receive a lump sum amount of ₹20,000/-.

A family welfare scheme under the umbrella scheme ‘National Social Assistance Programme’ (NSAP) by MoRD. In this scheme, financial assistance is provided to the bereaved households in case of the death of the primary breadwinner irrespective of the cause of death.

Benefit: ₹ 20000/ - will be given as a lump sum assistance to such surviving member of the household of the deceased poor, who after local inquiry, is found to be the head of the household. The assistance would be given to every case of death of breadwinner in a family.

The scheme aims to provide social security to Below Poverty Line (BPL) households. Under the scheme, a one-time lump sum assistance of ₹20,000 is provided to the widow or unmarried daughter of the deceased, if the primary breadwinner, aged between 18 and 59 years, passes away.

Benefit: A one-time assistance payment of ₹20,000/- is provided to the family of the deceased, whether the death was natural or accidental. Notes: - The payment is intended for the family, specifically going to the widow or unmarried daughter. - The assistance would be given to every case of death of breadwinner in a family. - Payment of the assistance is made through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the beneficiary’s post or bank account. - This is a one-time assistance payment.

The scheme “National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS)” was launched in 2016 by the Department of Women & Child Welfare, Govt. of Sikkim. Under this scheme, a lump sum amount of ₹ 30,000/- as financial assistance is provided to the bereaved household in the event of the death of the "Primary breadwinner"

Benefit: The beneficiary will receive a one-time grant of ₹ 30,000/- as financial assistance. The assistance would be given to every case of death of a breadwinner in a family of the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.

National Family Benefit Scheme or NBFS was launched by the Uttar Pradesh state government to provide financial assistance to those families that are unable to earn the necessities in life.

Benefit: Benefits Under the this scheme the government will pay Rs. 30, 000/- per family as compensation. The amount of the compensation was Rs. 20, 000/- earlier. After 2013, the amount was revised and become Rs. 30, 000/-. Under this scheme anyone who is eligible to become the head of the family after the death of the earner can apply for the scheme and claim the mentioned amount as compensation from the government.

The scheme "National Family Benefit Scheme (Maharashtra)" is a social welfare scheme by the Social Justice & Special Assistance Department, Government of Maharashtra. Under this scheme, ₹20,000/-. is provided to the family in the event of the death of their primary breadwinner.

Benefit: Financial assistance of ₹20,000/-.

The scheme "National Family Benefit Scheme (Punjab)" by the Department of Social Security and Development of Women and Children, Government of Punjab, provides a lump sum assistance of ₹20,000/- is provided to the bereaved household in the event of the death of their breadwinner.

Benefit: Financial assistance of ₹20,000/-.

The scheme "National Family Benefit Scheme for BPL Families" by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Haryana, aims to provide one-time financial assistance to economically vulnerable families after the death of the primary breadwinner.

Benefit: Monetary Benefit: ₹20,000/- (one-time assistance).

Under this scheme, one-time financial assistance of ₹20,000/- is provided to the bereaved family in the case of the sudden death of the earning member (breadwinner) of the family, provided the family is living below the poverty line (BPL).

Benefit: Under this scheme, a one-time financial assistance of ₹20,000/- is given to the bereaved family of the deceased person.

The scheme aims to provide financial assistance of ₹20,000/- to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families upon the death of the primary breadwinner (main earning member of the family) to help them cope with immediate financial hardships.

Benefit: A one-time financial assistance of ₹20,000/- is provided to the family in the event of the death of the primary earning member.

"National Fellowship for OBC Students" was launched by the University Grants Commission (UGC) during the financial year 2014-15 to increase the opportunities for the students of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) to pursue higher education leading to acquiring degrees such as M.Phil. and Ph.D.

Benefit: Number of Slots for Fellowship - The total number of slots for NFOBC under the scheme is 1000 per year. Out of 1000 slots available under this scheme, 750 will be allocated for the subjects under National Eligibility Test – Junior Research Fellowship (NET-JRF) of UGC and the remaining 250 UGC-Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (UGC-CSIR) NET-JRF joint test (for Science streams). A Scheme "National Fellowship For Students With Disabilities" was initiated by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under the "Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment".

Benefit: The value of the fellowship is as follows: The fellowship provides financial assistance to students with disabilities to pursue M. Phil. and Ph.D. degrees. The fellowship is awarded on the basis of merit and the student's disability certificate. The value of the fellowship is ₹ 37,000 per month for Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) and ₹ 42,000 per month for Senior Research Fellows (SRFs). The fellowship is awarded for a maximum period of five years, including the JRF and SRF periods.

National Food Security Mission was launched in 2007-08 to increase the production of rice, wheat and pulses. Later, coarse cereals, nutri cereals, commercial crops (sugarcane, jute, and cotton) were also added to the mission.

The scheme aims to ensure food security for the poorest and most vulnerable families by providing them with subsidized food grains under the Antyodaya category in the state. Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive 35 kg of food grains and 1 kg of sugar per ration card at subsidized rates.

Benefit: Under the scheme, each Pink Ration Card holder receives 35 kg of food grains (13.30 kg of wheat at ₹2.00 per kg and 21.70 kg of rice at ₹3.00 per kg) along with 1 kg of sugar at ₹13.50 per kg. At present, from 1 January 2023, food grains are being distributed free of cost to all ration card holders in the state.
