The West Bengal Freeship Scheme (WBFS)has been launched by the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal. This freeship would be provided as a tuition fee waiver for the under Graduate students level in Engineering & Technology/ Pharmacy/ Architecture.

“Assistance to Individual Handloom Weaver" is a sub-scheme under "West Bengal Handloom and Khadi Weavers Financial Benefit Scheme 2024”, implemented by the MSME and Textiles Dept, Government of West Bengal aims to provide one-time financial assistance to the individual Handloom weavers.

Benefit: ₹5000/- per weaver towards repair/renovation of work shed and/or repair/modification of loom & accessories. ₹10,000/- will also be provided towards raw material assistance for production of handloom products. To get this benefit, the raw material, i.e. yarn has to be procured through Tantuja.

“Assistance to Viable and Potentially Viable PWCS" is a sub-scheme under "West Bengal Handloom and Khadi Weavers Financial Benefit Scheme 2024”, by the MSME and Textiles Dept, Government of West Bengal aims to provide financial assistance to the societies who will fulfill the criteria of viability.

Benefit: ₹1,00,000/ to ₹10,00,000/- depending on the extent of activity of the PWCS.

“Supply of Yarn to Societies etc. at Subsidized Rate" is a sub-scheme under "West Bengal Handloom and Khadi Weavers Financial Benefit Scheme 2024”, by the MSME and Textiles Dept, Government of West Bengal aims to provide supply of subsidized yarn to the PWCS, Khadi Weavers' Societies etc.

Benefit: TANTUJA will supply yarn to handloom societies at a 10% discounted rate. - TANTUJA will receive a 5% administrative cost from the State Government for transportation, storage, and handling. - The Khadi Society, registered under various acts, will receive a 10% discount on roving or high count cotton fibre purchased from WBKVIB. - The WBKVIB will be reimbursed by the State government for the total concession amount given to the Khadi Societies, along with a 5% administrative cost for transportation, storing, and handling charges. Note: This does not apply to yarn procured under the NHDP Scheme.

“Support for One Time Settlement (OTS) of NPA Accounts of PWCS" is a sub-scheme under "West Bengal Handloom and Khadi Weavers Financial Benefit Scheme 2024” by the MSME and Textiles Dept, Government of West Bengal aims to make PWCS debt free by providing financial support for OTS of NPA accounts.

Benefit: 100% of the overdue principal +25% of the overdue interest on NPA accounts of viable PWCS as of 31/03/2024. The remaining 75% of overdue interest and any penal interest will be written off by the West Bengal State Cooperative Bank Ltd./District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd.

The “Construction of Approach Road” under the “SAIP for MSMEs” scheme, facilitates the Private Industrial Park in provision with Approach Road catering to the AIP.

Benefit: Pattern Of Assistance: Construction of Approach Road (two lane) of max. length 1.5 km connecting with Highway free of cost.

The “Incentive for Basic and Essential Common Infrastructure Facilities” under the “SAIP for MSMEs” scheme, aims to provide one time back-ended incentive for development of Basic and Essential Common Infrastructure Facilities based on land area.

Benefit: Area Subsidy20 acres to 39 acres₹2,00,00,000/-40 acres to 59 acres₹4,00,00,000/-60 acres to 79 acres₹6,00,00,000/-80 acres to 99 acres₹8,00,00,000/- 100 acres and above₹10,00,00,000/-Note: While calculating this incentive the land area in acre will be taken as least whole number. Of the capital incentive allocated /approved for a project, up to 20% of the allocation shall be towards specific Plant & Equipment required in the Common Facility Centre. The SLEC may make any relaxation in this regard based on the nature of the component and its utility.

The “Incentive for Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP)” under the “SAIP for MSMEs” scheme, aims to provide reimbursement for installation of CETP, wherever applicable, based on land area of AIP.

Benefit: An Approved Industrial Park shall be entitled to incentive as reimbursement for installation of CETP, wherever applicable, based on land area of AIP of ₹5,00,000/- per acre. Note: While calculating incentive for CETP, the land area in acres will be taken as least whole number.

The “Incentive for Setting up a Power Sub Station” under the “SAIP for MSMEs” scheme, facilitates the Private Industrial Park in the provision of quality power.

Benefit: Pattern Of Assistance: Setting up of a Power Sub-Station free of cost.

“Reimbursement of Stamp Duty” under the “SAIP for MSMEs” scheme, aims to provide reimbursement of stamp duty paid by the SPV for registration of land documents.

Benefit: Approved Industrial Park shall be entitled to reimbursement of stamp duty paid by the SPV for registration of land documents within the State relating to purchase of land for development up of the AIP.

"West Bengal Migrant Workers’ Welfare Scheme: Accidental Disability" is a social welfare scheme by the West Bengal Migrant Workers’ Welfare Board, that provides one-time assistance to the registered Migrant Worker in case of disability arising out of accidents during work.

Benefit: ₹ 50,000/- in case of 40% to 80 % disability. ₹ 1,00,000/- in case of more than 80% disability.

"West Bengal Migrant Workers’ Welfare Scheme: Cremation" is a social welfare scheme by the West Bengal Migrant Workers’ Welfare Board, Labour Dept., Government of West Bengal, that provides an one time assistance to the nominee of the worker for cremation when the worker dies.

Benefit: ₹ 3,000/- to the nominee of the registered Migrant Worker.

"West Bengal Migrant Workers’ Welfare Scheme: Repatriation of Dead Body" is a social welfare scheme implemented by the West Bengal Migrant Workers’ Welfare Board, that provides an one time assistance to the nominee for bringing the dead body of the registered migrant worker in case of death.

Benefit: ₹ 25,000/- to the nominee of the Migrant Worker.

The Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal has introduced the Student Credit Card Scheme for the students of West Bengal to enable them to pursue higher education without having any financial constraints.
