Benefit: Funds under PMEGP Scheme will be available under two major heads: Margin Money Subsidy a) Funds will be allocated under annual Budget Estimates toward disbursement of Margin Money (subsidy) for setting up new micro-enterprises/units; and b) From the funds allocated under BE for the Margin Money subsidy, ₹ 100 Crores or as approved by the competent authority will be earmarked for each FY towards disbursement of Margin Money (subsidy) for the upgradation of existing PMEGP/REGP/MUDRA units. Backward and Forward Linkages 5% of the total allocation under BE for a Financial Year against PMEGP, or as approved by the competent authority, shall be earmarked as funds under Backward and Forward Linkages and will be utilized for arranging awareness camps, State/District level monitoring meetings, Workshops, Exhibitions, Bankers meetings, TNDA, Publicity, Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) training, Physical verification & Geo-tagging, Evaluation & impacts Assessment study, Setting of Entrepreneurship Facilitation Centre (EFC), Center of Excellence (CoE), Engagement of Field Experts and Data Entry Operators (DEOs), Creation and Upgradation of IT infrastructure, Awards, Call Centre facility, PMU, and other related activities and settlement of other residual liabilities by the KVIC. Levels of support under PMEGP For setting up new micro-enterprise (units) a) Categories of beneficiaries under PMEGP (for setting up of new enterprises): General Category Beneficiary's contribution (of project cost): 10% Rate of Subsidy (of project cost): 15% for Urban Areas, 25% for Rural Areas. b) Categories of beneficiaries under PMEGP (for setting up of new enterprises): Special Category (including SC, ST, OBC, Minorities, Women, Ex-Servicemen, Transgenders, Differently abled, NER, Aspirational Districts, Hill and Border areas(as notified by the Government), etc. (i) Beneficiary's contribution (of project cost): 05% (ii) Rate of Subsidy (of project cost): 25% for Urban Areas, 35% for Rural Areas. Note: The maximum cost of the project/unit admissible for Margin Money subsidy under the Manufacturing sector is ₹50,00,000. The maximum cost of the project/unit admissible for the Margin Money subsidy under the Business/Service sector is ₹20,00,000. The balance amount (excluding the own contribution)of the total project cost will be provided by Banks. If the total project cost exceeds ₹50,00,000 or ₹20,00,000 for Manufacturing and Service/Business sector respectively, the balance amount may be provided by Banks without any Government subsidy. 2nd Loan for Upgradation of Existing PMEGP / REGP / MUDRA Units a) Categories of beneficiaries under PMEGP (for upgradation of existing units): All Categories b) Beneficiary's contribution (of project cost): 10% c) Rate of Subsidy (of project cost): 15% (20% in NER and Hill States). Note: 1) The maximum cost of the project/unit admissible for Margin Money subsidy under the Manufacturing sector for upgradation is ₹10,00,00,000. The maximum subsidy would be ₹15,00,000 (₹20,00,000 for NER and Hill States). 2) The maximum cost of the project/unit admissible for Margin Money subsidy under the Business/Service sector for upgradation is ₹25,00,000. The maximum subsidy would be ₹3,75,000 (₹5,00,000 for NER and Hill States). 3) The balance amount (excluding the own contribution)of the total project cost will be provided by Banks. 4) If the total project cost exceeds ₹10,00,00,000 or ₹25,00,000 for Manufacturing and Service/Business sector respectively, the balance amount may be provided by banks without any Government subsidy.

Prime Minister’s Fellowship for Doctoral Research scheme is a prestigious initiative of Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India towards the advancement of university research engagements in line with industry requirement.

Benefit: Under this scheme, full-time PhD scholars get double the JRF/SRF fellowship amount, as a scholarship. 1. The scheme has the provision to award up to 100 new scholarships every year. One-half of this scholarship comes from the government; the second half comes from a partner company that also works closely with the candidate on the research project.

The scheme aims to provide internship opportunities to one crore youth in top 500 companies in five years. Through this Scheme, youth will gain exposure for 12 months to real-life business environment, across varied professions and employment opportunities.

Benefit: Internship Duration & Exposure: 12 months of real-life work experience in top companies across India. - Monthly Financial Assistance: ₹4,500/- per month by Government of India and ₹500 per month by the industry partner. - One-time Grant: ₹6,000/- provided to interns for incidental expenses. - Insurance Coverage: Coverage under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana provided by the Government of India. Note 1: Monthly assistance will be paid to the interns for the entire duration of 12 months of the internship. Note 2: A one-time grant will be disbursed to each intern by the government through Direct Benefit Transfer, upon the intern's joining at the internship location.

The scheme aims to provide short term catalytic support to the District Administration in backward districts to improve programme delivery and simultaneously develop a cadre of Development Facilitators. Fellows receive professional experience, structured learning, and a monthly stipend.

Benefit: Stipend Package The Fellow shall be entitled to a consolidated stipend package of ₹50,000/- (Rupees Fifty thousand only) per month during the orientation period. The Fellow shall be entitled to ₹75,000/- (Rupees Seventy Five Thousand only) per month during the first year of the Fellowship (post-orientation). The Fellow shall receive a 10% increment during the second year, subject to satisfactory performance. This package is deemed to cover the Fellow’s honorarium, boarding and lodging expenses during orientation, accommodation/house rent during the rest of the Fellowship period, health insurance, life and disability insurance cover, and any other contingency expenses. Travel reimbursement will be based on actual costs and restricted to AC-II tier train fare by the shortest route or equivalent, plus local transport cost. Women Fellows with children below five years are allowed the travel cost of a care-giver if the care-giver accompanies the Fellow with her child. Other Benefits Participation in a post graduate degree programme through distance learning and contact sessions leading to a post graduate degree in Development Practice. Award of a Fellowship Certificate and an appropriate post graduate degree in Development Practice upon satisfactory completion of engagement and course requirements. Office facilities made available by the District Collector, including suitable space, a computer/laptop, and internet connectivity free of charge. Provision of suitable modes of transport by District administration while travelling within the district for regular work. Disbursement of Stipend During the orientation programme, the stipend shall be paid by the National Rural Livelihood Promotion Society through the Programme Mentor. Post-placement, the National Rural Livelihood Promotion Society shall pay the monthly stipend to the Fellows by providing budgetary support to the State Rural Livelihood Mission society. The State Rural Livelihood Mission society shall make direct deposits into the bank account of each Fellow immediately upon confirming the attendance of the Fellow from the District Collector at the end of the month. The second-year increment is subject to the Fellow’s satisfactory performance as determined by the National Rural Livelihood Promotion Society in consultation with the Programme Mentor. Conditions _It is mandatory for the Fellows to purchase suitable health insurance and life and disability insurance coverage for the entire duration of the Fellowship, including the orientation period._ _The Fellow shall not take up any type of employment with any other person, firm, or agency during the tenure of the Fellowship._ _On successful completion of Fellowship, the Fellow is required to spend at least one year in public service as a paid full-time employee of the State Rural Livelihood Mission in the State she/he is assigned to._ _Failure to join or complete the required one year of public service mandates the Fellow to return to the National Rural Livelihood Promotion Society the entire amount spent on academic programmes during the Fellowship (including orientation), plus an amount equivalent to the stipend of the last three months of the Fellowship period as compensation._

The scheme was introduced from the Academic year 2006-07 to encourage higher technical and professional education for the dependent wards of Ex-servicemen/ Ex-Coast Guard personnel and their widows.

Benefit: Amount of Scholarship (Paid annually): - ₹2,500/- per month (For Boys) - ₹3000/- per month (For Girls) Notes: 1. A total number of 5500 wards/ widows of Ex-servicemen are selected for scholarship in each academic year. 1. Scholarships are equally divided amongst boys and girls i.e. 2750 each. 1. Scholarships are paid for a period of two to five years as per the duration of the courses approved by the concerned government regulatory bodies. 1. Scholarship amount is paid annually to the selected students. 1. The payment is made through ECS into the bank account of the selected students.

Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) for RPF was announced by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India in his address to the nation from the historical Red Ford on 15th August 2005 to encourage higher technical and professional education for the dependent wards of Ex/Serving RPF/RPSF personnel& widows.

Benefit: The amount of the scholarship would be as follows: (i) ₹2500/- per month for male students (ii) ₹3000/- per month for female students Letter from Hon’ble Prime Minister - All applicants selected under the new category will be given a personal letter from Hon’ble Prime Minister in appropriate language. Duration of the Scholarship: Two to five years as per the duration of the course. Note: The payment of the scholarship will be granted after approval of the DG/RPF as per order of merit in each year.

The scheme aims to encourage higher technical and professional education for dependent wards and widows of CAPFs/Assam Rifles personnel martyred during Terror/Naxal attacks. Through this scheme, Financial support per year for girls and boys is provided.

Benefit: The applicant who is a girl, shall receive ₹3,000/- per month, totalling ₹36,000/- per year. 1. The applicant who is a boy, shall receive ₹2,500/- per month, totalling ₹30,000/- per year. 1. The amount is paid annually after selection. 1. All applicants selected under the fresh category will be given personal letters from the Hon'ble Prime Minister in the appropriate language. Number of Scholarships: 1. A total of 2,000 new scholarships are granted each academic year (in addition to renewal cases of the previous year), equally distributed between boys and girls (1,000 each). 1. The quota of 1,000 each fixed for boys and girls is not interchangeable. Duration of Scholarship: Up to 5 years (depending upon the duration of the course being pursued by the applicant and as approved by the respective regulatory body).

The scheme aims to support higher education for dependent wards of States/UTs Police personnel martyred during Terror/Naxal attacks. Through this scheme, financial assistance for girls and boys per year is provided.

Benefit: The applicant who is a girl shall receive ₹3,000/- per month, totalling ₹36,000/- per year. 1. The applicant who is a boy shall receive ₹2,500/- per month, totalling ₹30,000/- per year. 1. All applicants selected under the fresh category will be given personal letters from the Hon'ble Prime Minister in the appropriate language. Number of Scholarships: - A total of 500 new scholarships per academic year, equally distributed between boys and girls (250 each). - The quotas are NOT interchangeable between boys and girls. Duration: Up to 5 years (depending upon the course duration as approved by the regulatory body).

The scheme aims to encourage higher technical and professional education for the wards of widows and ex-CPF personnel. Service conditions of Central Police Forces (CPFs) Personnel are extremely exacting, tough, rigorous, and peculiar to the Services.

Benefit: Amount of Scholarship: ₹1250/- per month for boys ₹1500/- per month for girls Duration of the Scholarship: Two to five years as approved by the concerned regulatory body for the programme.

Under the scheme provides financial support for setting up or expanding small business ventures. It primarily targets the unorganized sector and underserved business activities that contribute significantly to the local economy but have historically lacked institutional support.

The scheme aims to promote Sanskrit education by providing free Sanskrit textbooks to students studying in Classes 1 to 12. Under this scheme, annual financial assistance ranging from ₹250/- to ₹700/- is provided to each student enrolled in Classes 1 to 12 of Sanskrit schools.

Benefit: Each student is provided annual financial assistance under the scheme as follows: - Classes 1st to 5th: ₹250/- per student - Classes 6th to 8th: ₹400/- per student - Classes 9th to 10th: ₹600/- per student - Classes 11th to 12th: ₹700/- per student

The scheme aims to support individual innovators which will enable them to achieve the agenda of inclusive development - one of the thrust areas of the XIIth five-year plan (2012-2017). The proposals shall preferably be considered in the following focus sectors: Green technology, Clean energy, etc.

Benefit: Project cost up to ₹5,00,000 to help Innovators convert their ideas into demonstrable models/prototypes. - Maximum support under this category is ₹2,00,000 or 90% of the approved project cost, whichever is lower. NOTE 1: The financial support is not an award or a prize or a research fellowship. The financial support is provided for the work to be undertaken. NOTE 2: Elements like self-salary, rent of own accommodation, creation of infrastructure facility like shed etc should not form the component of support/funds. The support/funds should be mainly for prototype development work/proof of concept.

The scheme aims to promote innovations in individuals, start-ups, and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (PRISM). It offers financial support (up to ₹20,00,000/-) for Indian Citizens working on innovation projects requiring fabrication of working models, patenting, or technology transfer.

Benefit: The maximum support under Category II is ₹20,00,000/- or 90% of the approved project cost, whichever is lower. The approved project cost must be more than ₹5,00,000/- and up to ₹35,00,000/-. Eligible Components for Support Research and Development/Design Engineering/Consultancy charges. Rental charges for laboratory/workshop facilities. Essential equipment that cannot be taken on rent (reasons for purchase must be given). Raw material/spares/consumables cost. Fabrication/synthesis charges. Manpower cost of technical assistants, not exceeding 20% of the approved project cost. Testing and trials. Travel cost, not exceeding 5% of the approved project cost. Patent filing (actual fee paid to the patent office). Process know-how development. Proposals involving scientifically characterizing or testing the efficacy and toxicity of herbal formulations. Exclusions from Support Innovator’s salary. Rental expenses for use of own facilities. Disbursement The first release is based on milestones/deliverables projected in the project proposals and as recommended by the PRISM Advisory and Screening Committee (PASC). Subsequent releases are based on the assessment of the progress of the project by the Project Review Committee (PRC). Conditions The applicant has to sign "Terms & Conditions" prior to the actual release of grants-in-aid. The approved projects will be monitored by the TePP Outreach cum Cluster Innovation Centre/other network partners, including technical expert(s). The TePP Outreach cum Cluster Innovation Centres will be periodically reporting project status to the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research at an interval of 3 months. The Project Review Committees, consisting of external experts, will meet at least once in nine months to review the progress of the project. For student innovators, the institution will be responsible for final completion of the project in case the Innovator leaves the Institute/Organization without completion of the project.

Under the scheme, financial assistance is provided to Scheduled Caste (SC) students who are studying in Standard 11th and 12th (General Stream) and have obtained 75% or more marks in the 10th Standard for private coaching fees, as per merit prepared at state level up to 100 students.

Benefit: Assistance Details: • Standard 11th: ₹8,000/- per annum as a private tuition fees • Standard 12th: ₹4,000/- per annum as a private tuition fees

Under the scheme, financial assistance is provided to Scheduled Caste (SC) students who are studying in Standard 11th and 12th (Science Stream) and have obtained 70% or more marks in the 10th Standard for private coaching.

Benefit: Assistance Details: • 11th Standard: ₹15,000/- per annum as a private tuition fees • 12th Standard: ₹15,000/- per annum as a private tuition fees

Under this scheme, a grant of ₹15,000 each for class 11 and class 12 to cover private tuition fees for eligible SEBC students pursuing science education in higher secondary classes.
