Under this scheme, free bicycle assistance is provided to Socially and Educationally Backward class girls studying in Class 9 in government and grant-in-aid schools across Gujarat.

“Free Distribution of Bicycles'' under “Saraswati Vidya Yojana”, implemented by the Directorate of Education, U.T. Administration Of DNH & DD, aims to provide bicycles free of cost to all the girl students, studying in class VIII(8) in the Govt. schools.

Benefit: The girl students of class VIII of Government Schools of this UT will be provided bicycle for free.

“Reimbursement of Fees for Diploma/ Graduation and Post-Graduation Professional Courses'' under “Saraswati Vidya Yojana”, implemented by the Directorate of Education, Of DNH & DD, aims to provide financial assistance to girl students pursuing higher education in professional courses.

Benefit: Full Reimbursement for Low Income: - 100% of tuition and academic fees will be reimbursed to girl students whose parental or husband's income is below ₹2,50,000/-. Partial Reimbursement for Higher Income: - 50% of tuition and academic fees will be reimbursed to girl students whose parental or husband's income is above ₹2,50,000/-. Maximum Reimbursement Limits: - For diploma and undergraduate professional courses, the maximum reimbursement is ₹2,50,000/- per year. - For postgraduate professional courses, the maximum reimbursement is ₹3,50,000/- per year. Extended Reimbursement for 1.5-Year Courses: - For graduate professional courses with a 1.5-year academic session, the maximum reimbursement is ₹3,75,000/- per academic year. - For postgraduate professional courses with a 1.5-year academic session, the maximum reimbursement is ₹5,25,000/- lakh per academic year. Additional Hostel Allowance: - An additional allowance covering 50% of hostel charges (excluding mess charges), capped at ₹30,000/- per year, will be provided. This allowance is in addition to the maximum reimbursement limits specified above. Note: - The accommodation fees of the students staying as paying Guest or in a flat system shall not be reimbursed. - While calculating Tuition and Academic Fees, the fees such as Capitation Fee, Infrastructure Fee and Development Fee will not be considered. - In case the Hostel Charges are inclusive of Mess Charges and the same is not mentioned separately in Fee Receipt, the Hostel Charges will be considered as 50% of the total amount of the aforesaid fee receipt. - In case the beneficiary is entitled to avail scholarship/ monetary benefit for the respective Academic Year under any other schemes of the U.T./ Govt. of India (Including Post matric scholarship) ,such amount shall be deducted from the benefit amount of this scheme and accordingly the scholarship amount shall be disbursed under the scheme.

The scheme “Sardar Patel Agriculture Research Award” was launched by the Department of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare & Co-operation, Government of Gujarat on 30.10.1995.

Benefit: In this scheme every year ₹51000/- is awarded with the shawl and certificate to the farmer who gains the first position in each category and also first five farmers from each category are appreciated with the shawl & certificate. In addition to this, farmers as in the form of encouragement are appreciated by giving shawls & certificates for the special work done in the field of beekeeping, poultry farming, fisheries, etc.

Sardar Patel Awas Yojana (SPAY) is a housing scheme launched by the government of Gujarat in India to provide affordable housing to economically weaker sections (EWS) and low-income groups (LIG) of society.

The Sarothi Start-Up fund is an initiative that the Indian government of Assam has launched (2016-17) to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in the state. Startups and entrepreneurs receive seed capital, working capital, and other forms of financial support through the scheme.

Sastraposhini is a programme envisaged by Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) for strengthening science education in schools of Kerala.

Benefit: A total of ₹8 lakhs is spent to establish Sastraposhini laboratories (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) in one school with a fair share from KSCSTE. 1. Training will be provided to selected teachers from Sastraposhini schools by eminent scholars/ academicians from different disciplines. 1. Laboratory manuals and visual experimental aids and models will be provided to the selected schools. 1. Training programme for teachers: - Two teachers each in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from Sastraposhini schools are invited to participate in a training programme. The trained teachers will be in charge of each laboratory. - Scientists/academicians offer classes on creating science awareness, good laboratory practices, setting up of laboratories, and practical demonstrations. Based on the training received, the teachers will be encouraged to carry out innovative projects in science for children utilizing the facilities of Sastraposhini laboratories.

"Satat Jeevikoparjan Yojana (SJY)" is a flagship program launched by the Government of Bihar to uplift ultra-poor households through comprehensive livelihood support, skill-building, and financial inclusion.

Benefit: Financial Assistance: - Livelihood Gap Assistance: ₹1,000/- per month for the initial seven months to support basic needs. - Asset Transfers: Productive Asset (micro-enterprise, livestock, agriculture) transfer of an average value of ₹60,000/- is given in 2-3 tranches with a limit of ₹1,00,000/-. - Insurance Coverage: Insurance premiums cover for each beneficiary under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMJSBY). Mentoring and Capacity Building: - Long-Term Mentorship: 24 months of personalized guidance by Master Resource Persons (MRPs). - Training Programs: Capacity-building sessions to enhance confidence and entrepreneurial skills. - Life-Skills Coaching: General coaching to improve household management and decision-making abilities. Social Empowerment: - Targeting Ultra-Poor: Focused support for ultra-poor households, including those traditionally engaged in informal sectors. - Community Inclusion: Strengthened participation through Village Organizations (VOs) for oversight and support.

The scheme aims to encourage community marriages among economically and socially backward classes. Incentives are provided to couples and the organizing institutions.

Benefit: Monetary Incentive to Couples: ₹12,000 is provided to each newly married couple from socially and educationally backward classes and economically backward classes. Support to Organizing Institutions: ₹3,000 per couple is granted to the organizing institution, up to a maximum of ₹75,000 per event.

The 'Sathiyavanimuthu Ammaiyar Ninaivu Free Supply of Sewing Machine Scheme' was launched by the Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department, Tamil Nadu. The scheme aims to provide sewing machines to destitute, deserted women/widows, differently abled men & women to increase self-employment.

Benefit: Sewing machines and accessories are provided at free of cost.

The "Sathya Ammaiyar Ninaivu Government Children Homes" was launched by the Social Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme Department, Government of Tamil Nadu. The scheme aims to provide education to destitute, deserted and abandoned children by giving free food, clothing, shelter and medical care.

Benefit: Food, accommodation, education, uniform, free textbook and notebooks, medical facilities, chappals, and bedding.

The scheme was launched in the year 2000 to provide financial assistance to scheduled caste families at the time of the death of a family member to cover funeral expenses, due to their poor economic conditions.

Benefit: Under the scheme, scheduled caste families receive financial assistance of ₹5,000/- at the time of a family member's death to cover funeral expenses.

The Saur Sujala Yojana is to set up solar irrigation pumps for the irrigation needs of the farmers. The scheme has been started on November 01, 2016, with the aim of empowering the farmers by providing irrigation pumps to the farmers at subsidized rates.

Savitribai Jyotirao Phule Fellowship for Single Girl Child (SJSGC) is a Fellowship Scheme by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Department of Higher Education, for pursuing research work leading to the award of a Ph.D. degree. The target group of this scheme is the ‘single girl child'.

Benefit: TENURE OF FELLOWSHIP: The tenure of the fellowship is for five years and will be effective from 1st April of the selection year or the actual date of joining under the fellowship in the University/College/Institute, whichever is later. Fellowship will be granted upto the date of submission of Ph.D. Thesis or 5 years of tenure whichever is earlier. No extension is permissible beyond the total period of five years, and the fellow ceases to be a UGC research fellow immediately after the expiry of the due date. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Fellowship: JRF @ ₹ 37,000/- p.m. for initial two years (subject to satisfactory progress of research work) SRF @ ₹ 42,000/- p.m. for remaining tenure (subject to satisfactory progress of research work) Contingency: For Humanities and Social Sciences: @ ₹ 10,000/- p.a. for the initial two years, @ ₹ 20,500/- p.a. for the remaining tenure. For Science, Engineering, and Technology @ ₹ 12,000/- p.a. for the initial two years, @ ₹ 25,000/- p.a. for the remaining tenure. Escort Reader Assistance: @ ₹ 3,000/- p.m. in the case of ‘Divyang’ scholars. Note: At the end of tenure/termination of fellowship/resignation of scholar, the books, journals, and equipment purchased out of the contingency grant shall become the property of the institution concerned. HRA: (i) Hostel accommodation may be provided to the scholars by their institutions. In such cases, the scholar is eligible to draw only hostel fees excluding mess, electricity, water charges, etc. In case, a scholar refuses the hostel accommodation, he/she shall not be eligible to draw HRA. (ii) In case of non-availability of hostel accommodation, the scholar may be provided with single accommodation by the host institution. In such cases, the rent paid by the scholar on an actual basis shall be reimbursed, subject to the ceiling of HRA as per Govt. of India norms. (iii) If the scholar makes her own arrangements of accommodation, he/she shall be entitled to draw HRA as per ceiling and categorization of cities by the Govt. of India. In case, the scholar wishes to draw HRA, he/she is required to submit a certificate, in the prescribed format, to her institution. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE: No separate/fixed medical assistance is provided. However, the scholars may avail the medical facilities available in their Institutions concerned. LEAVE: (i) Earned Leave for a maximum period of 30 days in a year in addition to public holidays may be taken by a scholar. However, they are not entitled to any other vacation, such as summer, winter, and pooja vacations, etc. (ii) Maternity/paternity leave as per the Govt. of India norms issued from time to time shall be available for female scholars at full rates of the fellowship once during the tenure of the fellowship. The period of leave without fellowship, if any, shall be counted towards the tenure. Besides this, an ‘Intermittent Break’ for a maximum total period of 1 year may also be permissible for women scholars. The break can be availed a maximum of 3 times during the entire period of the fellowship. However, the total duration of the break shall not exceed one year. No fellowship shall be available for the period of such break(s). This period of intermittent breaks shall not be counted towards the tenure of the fellowship, and thus effectively the total period of fellowship shall remain the same. (iii) Academic leave (without fellowship and other emoluments) shall be permissible only for one year throughout the tenure (for any kind of academic/teaching assignment/foreign visit in connection with research work). The period of leave without fellowship will be counted towards the tenure. Expenditure on foreign visits in connection to research work cannot be claimed from UGC. (iv) All kinds of leave shall be availed by the scholar only with due approval of the institution concerned.

Savitribai Phule Scholarship is a Scholarship Scheme by the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Govt. of Maharashtra, to encourage enrollment and to decrease the dropout ratio of Girls in education.

Benefit: The beneficiary is to provide ₹100/- per month for 10 months i.e. ₹1,000/- for 10 months.
