The scheme "Mukhyamantri Anusuchit Janjati Gram Vikas Yojana" by the Welfare Department, Govt. of Jharkhand, aims to uplift Scheduled Tribe communities through education, health, & economic initiatives. Financial grants, equipment, & training programs are provided for holistic village development.

Benefit: Financial support of ₹1,00,000/- to women self-help groups (SHGs) in selected villages as a grant. Assistance of up to ₹2,00,000/- for self-employment or equipment for unemployed educated youth. Organization of regular health camps focusing on diseases like malaria, sickle cell anemia, and other chronic illnesses. Support for tribal-specific economic activities, including purchasing lac and minor forest produce at minimum support prices. Training programs for women SHGs and unemployed youth through selected NGOs and professional institutions. Provision of forward marketing linkage to enhance economic activities. Promotion of integrated village development plans under traditional village leaders’ supervision.

This is a flagship scheme of the Bihar government aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment among the youth by providing financial assistance for setting up businesses.

Benefit: Substantial Financial Support: Receive up to ₹10,00,000/- for setting up a business (50% of the total financial assistance (up to ₹5,00,000/-) is provided as a non-repayable grant. The remaining 50% (up to ₹5,00,000/-) is offered as an interest-free loan, with a nominal 1% interest under specific sub-schemes.) - Skill Development: Mandatory training sessions are provided to enhance entrepreneurial skills.

The “Mukhyamantri Anusoochit Jaati Evam Anusoochit Janajati Chhatrawas Anudan Yojana” was launched by the SC and ST Welfare Department, Government of Bihar aims to provide financial assistance in every month to the students studying in Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe hostels.

Benefit: Grant of ₹1,000/- per month.

The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to SC & ST candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination of Civil Services Competitive Examination conducted by the BPSC, Patna, and the UPSC, New Delhi, to support their preparation for main examination/interview.

Benefit: Under this scheme, candidates who pass the preliminary examination of Civil Services Competitive Examinations are eligible for the following incentives: 1. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates who pass the Preliminary Examination of the Combined Competitive Examination conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission, Patna, will receive a one-time financial assistance of ₹50,000/- for further preparation. 1. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates who pass the Preliminary Examination of the Civil Services Competitive Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi, will receive a one-time financial assistance of ₹1,00,000/- for further preparation.

The scheme aims to improve the livelihood and nutritional security of tribal communities by providing two dairy animals at a 90% subsidy to eligible tribal livestock farmers.

Benefit: Provision of 2 Dairy Animals (cow or Murrah buffalo) per beneficiary at 90% subsidy. Animals sourced from certified breeding tracts, progressive farmers, or NABARD-approved markets, ensuring quality and health. Minimum milk yield requirement: cows – 7 liters/day; buffaloes – 8 liters/day. Animal age limit: calves must be under 2 months. Disease-free, healthy animals with mandatory tagging. Training and guidance on dairy management provided before distribution. Milk route establishment and cluster development support provided.

The scheme aims to increase milk production and promote improved livestock breeding by providing two Murrah buffaloes to eligible farmers on a subsidy basis.

Benefit: Subsidy Process: General Category: 50% subsidy and 50% beneficiary contribution. Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Scheduled Caste farmers: 75% subsidy and 25% beneficiary contribution. Provision of 2 Murrah Buffaloes with high genetic quality, each yielding 8–10 liters of milk daily. Pregnant buffaloes (5 months or more) are provided to ensure immediate milk production.

This scheme aims to provide safe housing for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Extremely Backward Classes whose existing group housing under previous schemes has become broken down.

Benefit: Financial Assistance: ₹1,20,000/- (Provided in three installments: ₹40,000/- each through Direct Benefit Transfer or DBT).

Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana launched by Social Justice and empowerment in 2015 by Rajasthan for Family provides financial support to eligible families to help them cover the expenses associated with their daughters' weddings.

Benefit: The implementation of this scheme will be reviewed at the district level and a committee meeting will be held every 3 months. The state government will provide financial assistance of ₹ 31,000 to ₹ 41,000 to the eligible beneficiaries at the time of the girl's marriage. Under this scheme, a provision of savings of about ₹24 crore has been approved. If the girls of the state pass 10th then the government will provide an amount of ₹41 thousand at the time of their marriage. If the girls of the state pass 12th then the government will provide an amount of ₹51 thousand at the time of their marriage.

Under this scheme, a Scheduled Tribe family receives 50kg of wheat or rice and cooking utensils from the Panchayat upon the birth of a child. In the event of a family member's death, the family is provided with 1 quintal of wheat or rice.

Benefit: The scheme offers the following assistance to Scheduled Tribe families: - Birth of a Child: Upon the birth of a boy or girl, the family will receive 50 kg of wheat and rice, along with cooking utensils, provided at the panchayat level. - Death of a Family Member: In the event of a family member's death, the family will receive 1 quintal (100 kg) of either wheat or rice. Note: The food grains are provided to the beneficiaries free of cost.

The scheme empowers tribal women by providing them with livelihood opportunities through women-run centers. These centers promote the sale of tribal dishes and home-made products, thereby improving income and living standards. Tribal women-run groups receive a subsidy covering 50% of project cost.

Benefit: Monetary Benefit 50% of the project cost or ₹5,00,000, whichever is less, provided as subsidy. The remaining 50% of the project cost is provided as a loan. Subsidy Disbursement Given in two installments – 60% in the first installment and 40% in the second installment. Interest Rate Loan at 4% per annum. Repayment Loan (excluding subsidy) must be repaid in 20 equal installments over 5 years, including interest. Option to repay earlier is allowed. Beneficiary Contribution No upfront contribution required from the beneficiary.

The scheme "Mukhyamantri Swasthya Sahayata Yojana" by the Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Minorities, & Backward Classes Welfare Department, Govt. of Jharkhand, aims to provide medical financial aid to beneficiaries. It covers illnesses, surgeries, & nutritional support during & after treatment.

Under this scheme, farmers from SC and ST categories are eligible for a subsidy covering 75% of the unit cost (up to ₹25,000/-) for digging a tube well and 75% of the unit cost (up to ₹15,000/-) for the successful installation of a tube well submersible pump.

Benefit: Subsidy for Tube Well Digging: - A grant of 75% of the unit cost (up to a maximum of ₹25,000/-), is provided for digging a tube well. - Applicable for both successful and unsuccessful digging. Subsidy for Submersible Pump Installation: - A grant of 75% of the unit cost (up to a maximum of ₹15,000/-), is provided for the successful installation of a submersible pump on a tube well. - Applicable only for successful installation of a Submersible Pump. Note: The subsidy is transferred to the bank account of the farmers.

The scheme provides vocational guidance, confidence-building programmes, personality development sessions, practice in typing and shorthand, special coaching for competitive exams, and computer training courses. The applicant must be an educated, unemployed SC/ST jobseeker.

Benefit: The scheme offers Vocational Guidance and Career Counselling Services to educated SC/ST jobseekers. The scheme provides Practice in Typing and Shorthand to ensure registrants maintain their speed while waiting on the Live Register of Employment Exchanges. The scheme offers a Special Coaching Scheme to prepare candidates for competitive examinations and selection tests for Group “C” or equivalent posts (e.g., General English, General Awareness, Computer Training). The scheme provides Computer Training Courses through outsourcing, including ‘O’ Level Software/Hardware training, Office Automation, and Cyber Secured Web Development. The scheme provides a monthly stipend of ₹1,000/- per candidate. The scheme provides free books and stationery worth ₹1,000/- per candidate for the entire course. _The stipend is paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), subject to the candidate maintaining 80% attendance in a particular month._

A scholarship scheme by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for regular, full-time ST students to obtain higher education (post-graduate courses viz. Masters, Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral Research) from foreign institutes/universities. The Scheme is implemented through the Indian Embassies.

The National Scheme of Incentive to Girls for Secondary Education promotes the girl child's enrolment of 14-18 years age group at secondary stage, who passes class 8th and subsequently drops out for various socio-economic reasons.

Benefit: A sum of ₹3000/- would be deposited under term deposit/ fixed deposit in a public sector bank or in a post office in the name of every eligible girl child. The term/ period of the deposit may be counted from the date of deposit to the date on which the girl child attains the age of 18 years. No premature withdrawal will be allowed.

The scheme aims to promote national integration, global understanding, social responsibility, and encourage scientific, imaginative, and innovative thinking among students.

Benefit: The selection of the students will mainly depend upon their academic performance and the need for the scholarship. The selected students will receive stipends and book grants for studies in India only.

NEET/JEE Coaching for tribal students scheme launched in Rajasthan by Tribal Area Development in the year 2001.

Benefit: Reimbursement of institute fees up to Rs. 55,000. Provision of Rs. 1,000 per month for food and accommodation. Full coverage of stationary expenses, amounting to Rs. 5,000 one-time.

The "One Time Financial Support for Economically Weaker Meritorious ST Students" scheme aims to provide financial assistance ₹1,00,000/- to the economically weaker meritorious schedule tribe students to pursue different professional & other courses in government-recognized institutes/colleges.

Benefit: Financial Support: A one-time financial support of ₹1,00,000/- will be provided to selected students in two installments: 1st Installment: ₹50,000/- released immediately after selection.- 2nd Installment: ₹50,000/- upon production of pass certificates for the 1st year course.

Under this scheme, free accommodation, nutritious meals, educational materials, uniforms, personal hygiene items, and other facilities are provided to Scheduled Tribe (ST) students residing in ashram hostels operated by the Tribal Area Development Department.

The scheme aims to encourage tribal students to participate in sports and prepare them for national & international competitions. Tribal students from Classes 6 to 12 are provided with free accommodation, specialized training, nutritious meals & other necessary facilities in the sports hostels.

Benefit: The following facilities are provided in the sports hostel: Free residential accommodation in sports hostels. Nutritious meals, snacks, and special dietary arrangements as per approved pattern. Sports training with modern equipment by expert coaches (especially in archery and athletics). Free school uniforms and educational materials.
