"Fee Waiver Scheme for SC/ST Students Pursuing Higher Education" provides free access to every SC/ST student, to the institutions of higher learning so that that no eligible SC/ST students are deprived of higher education for want of resources.

Benefit: A full waiver of the fees supposed to have been paid by them in the institutions where they have sought admissions. The amount fee waiver shall consist of Tuition fees, Library fees, Laboratory fees and Development fees, if any. NOTE: All other charges and fees would be borne by the concerned student.

Under this scheme, Scheduled Caste students pursuing M.Phil and Ph.D. programs at any recognized universities will receive a monthly fellowship.

Benefit: Scholarship rate per student: For M.Phil: ₹2,500/Per Month (For 10 Months) For PhD: ₹10,000/Per Month (For 10 Months)

The scheme “Financial Assistance for Marriage of Poor Scheduled Caste Brides” was introduced by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Dept, Govt of Puducherry. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to poor parents from Scheduled Castes for performing the marriage of their daughters.

Benefit: Financial Assistance of ₹15,000/- in each case for the marriage of their two daughters.

Welfare scheme of Department For The Welfare Of SC/ST/OBC’s/Minorities to provide help for purchase of stationery to SC/ST/OBC/Minorities Students of 1st to 12th class studying Govt. of India/GNCT of Delhi/Aided Recognized schools.

Benefit: The amount of financial assistance is as followed: I to VIII class – Rs. 1000/- P.A. IX to XII class – Rs. 2000/- P.A.

By the Chandigarh Government, this scheme is initiated to reduce the financial burden for the girl marriage. Under the scheme financial assistance will be provided.

Benefit: Financial grant : ₹20,000/- for the marriage of daughters.

The scheme “Financial Assistance Scheme for Higher Competitive/ Entrance Examination to Scheduled Castes/ Backward Classes Students” was launched by the Department of Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes, Government of Haryana.

Benefit: Under the scheme, the Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes candidates will be entitled to free coaching for IAS and other higher services competitive examinations. 1. The Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes candidates can avail of postal/classroom coaching for civil services Examinations like IFS, IAS & Allied Services, and any other services examinations conducted by the UPSC/HPSC/LIC/GIC/ RRB/ BRB, etc., and any other recruiting agency of State and Central Govt. in various private professional institutions. 1. The personal, postal coaching for pre- Entrance examination will also be provided in PMT/PET, and any other coaching for interviews will also be got provided from private institutions. 1. Benefit under the scheme can be availed by a particular candidate two times, irrespective of the number of chances he/she may be entitled to in a particular competitive examination.

The scheme was launched on in the year 1986. Under the scheme, financial assistance is provided to farmers belonging to the scheduled castes to purchase agricultural land, with a maximum limit of 2 acres, for self-cultivation.

Benefit: Under the scheme, Scheduled caste farmers are provided with financial assistance of ₹1,00,000/- per acre to purchase agricultural land. 1. Assistance is provided up to ₹2,00,000/- for a maximum of 2 acres to enable the purchase of agricultural land.

The scheme aims to provide assistance to the Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Caste communities for the purchase of basic dairy equipments needed to run a small scale dairy farming, and to encourage the tribal population to adopt Animal Husbandry activities, especially Dairy Development Schemes.

Benefit: Maximum Financial Assistance 100% subsidy shall be provided for dairy items of general use. The subsidy is subject to a maximum amount of ₹30,000/- or the actual cost of the items, whichever is lower. The subsidy is a one-time assistance per family. Maximum Permissible Subsidy per Item Stainless Steel Cans (Twenty liters Capacity): ₹3,800/- (for 2 permissible units). 500 Liters Water Tanks: ₹3,500/- (for 1 permissible unit). Calf Nipple Bucket: ₹1,500/- (for 1 permissible unit). Spray Pump 15 Liters Capacity: ₹2,000/- (for 1 permissible unit). Steel Buckets: ₹2,200/- (for 2 permissible units). 0.5 Horsepower water Pump: ₹5,000/- (for 1 permissible unit). Ceiling Fans: ₹4,000/- (for 2 permissible units). Steel Vessels 5 Liters Capacity: ₹900/- (for 2 permissible units). Spade: ₹250/- (for 1 permissible unit). Grooming Brush: ₹400/- (for 2 permissible units). Gamelas: ₹500/- (for 2 permissible units). Nylon Rope: ₹400/- (for 2.5 kilograms). Sickle: ₹250/- (for 1 permissible unit). Pickaxe: ₹300/- (for 1 permissible unit). Rubber mat: ₹5,000/- (for 2 permissible units). Benefit Disbursal Subsidy shall be directly credited to the beneficiary’s bank account. In case of limited purchase of dairy items, proportionate subsidy shall be released. The Department will release the subsidy within 60 days of receiving the documents completed in all respects. Conditions The beneficiary must use the dairy equipments purchased for the development of their dairy unit. The beneficiary shall abide by the provision of the said scheme, and undertake to comply with the Pattern of Assistance of the scheme as contained in the scheme. The beneficiary must use the dairy equipments for a minimum period of 3 (three) years from the date of purchase, subject to normal wear and tear. The beneficiary solemnly undertakes to refund the cost of the items if the items are found misutilised or missing. In case of breach of any clause, the Government is free to recover the subsidy released through any due benefits under other eligible schemes of the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and/or under the land revenue code.

The scheme “Financial Assistance to Institutions/Societies Belonging to Scheduled Castes/Backward Classes” was launched by the Department of Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes, Government of Haryana.

Benefit: Financial Assistance up to ₹2.00 lakhs may be sanctioned by the Minister in charge, Welfare of Scheduled Castes/Backward Classes. 1. The Chief Minister may sanction grants exceeding ₹2.00 lakhs in genuine cases. 1. In deserving cases, additional funds can also be sanctioned later on for construction/completion/ repair/ renovation of the infrastructure or for providing basic amenities in the building, or for any other purpose. Note 01: Financial Assistance will be sanctioned only for the work to be executed within Haryana State. Note 02: The grant will be utilized for the purpose for which it is sanctioned and not for any other purpose within one year of the date of receipt of the grant. Unspent balance, if any, should have to be returned to the competent authority. In case of default, the amount will be recovered as arrears of land revenue. Note 03: The institutions shall incur the expenditure out of this grant in the most economical manner. Note 04: Any institution/society found guilty of non-fulfillment of the conditions shall be debarred from being considered for release of Government grant for a minimum period of three years or more as may be decided by the competent authority.

"Financial Assistance to Newlyweds under Kanyadan Yojana (Vijabhaj)" was launched by the Dept of Social Justice & Special Assistance, Govt of Maharashtra. The scheme aims to reduce the economic, social, and educational backwardness of Scheduled Castes, Freed Castes, Nomadic Tribes, etc.

Benefit: A financial assistance of ₹10,000/- is provided to couples who participate in mass marriage ceremonies. An incentive grant of ₹2,000/- per couple is offered to institutions and organizations that organize mass marriage ceremonies for these communities.

The scheme “Financial Assistance to Poor Scheduled Caste People Suffering From Prolonged Diseases” was introduced by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Dept, Govt of Puducherry. The objective of the scheme is to assist poor patients from Scheduled Castes suffering from prolonged illness.

Benefit: Financial Assistance of ₹500/- per month.

The scheme provides financial grants to the SC students for appearing in the UPSC Mains Exam. An amount upto ₹50,000/- is provided to each beneficiary, subject to budget provision. The assistance is extended depending on the applicant satisfying the eligibility criteria and the documents submitted.

Benefit: An amount of up to ₹50,000/- is provided to each beneficiary, subject to budget provision.

The scheme aims to support SC students for higher education abroad in fields like Engineering, Sciences, and Humanities. Benefits include up to ₹20,00,000/- for Ph.D. and ₹10,00,000 for Masters, with eligibility criteria including residency and income below ₹8,00,000/-.

Benefit: Financial assistance of ₹5,00,000/- per annum, up to a maximum of ₹20,00,000/- for Ph.D. (4 years) and ₹10,00,000/- for Masters (2 years). Funds are Disbursed in Installments First installment after admission confirmation. Subsequent installments every six months/one year based on progress reports. Covers tuition and living expenses at accredited foreign universities. Conditions Recipients must return to India after completion and stay for at least 5 years. Violations may require refund of the entire amount with 15% compound interest.

Under this scheme ₹10,000/- for Medical students, ₹8,000/- for Engineering students and ₹3,000/- Diploma students granted for purchase of study instrument to the Scheduled Caste students studying in Medical, Engineering, Diploma courses.

Benefit: Scholarship rate per student: For Medical Student: ₹10,000/- For Engineering Student: ₹8,000/- For Diploma Student: ₹3,000/- Note: The assistance shall be given in the first year only.

“Financial Assistance to Scheduled Castes for Funeral Rites” was introduced by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, Government of Puducherry. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the Scheduled Caste family for performing funeral rites of their deceased family member.

Benefit: Financial assistance of ₹ 10,000/-.

The scheme “Financial Grants in Aid to SC/ST patients suffering from cancer and other malignant diseases” was launched by the Government of Assam in 2017 to provide financial assistance in the form of grants in Aid to SC/ST patients who are suffering from cancer and other malignant diseases.

Benefit: The scheme shall help SC/ST patients suffering from cancer and other malignant diseases to carry forward the treatment of their diseases by making available some financial assistance in the form of grants in Aid. Under the scheme, SC/ST patients will be given a one-time, fixed financial assistance of ₹ 50,000/-only.

The scheme aims to encourage inter-caste marriages in Assam. It provides a one-time financial assistance of ₹2,50,000/- in a joint fixed deposit for eligible couples where one spouse belongs to a Scheduled Caste and the other to a General Caste Hindu.

Benefit: A one-time financial assistance of ₹2,50,000/- is provided to the eligible inter-caste marriage couple. The financial assistance is granted directly in the form of a fixed deposit. The fixed deposit is opened jointly in the name of the couple in a Government or Nationalized bank. Conditions _The opening of joint accounts for the eligible inter-caste marriage couple will be initiated by the_ Office of the Director Welfare Of Scheduled Castes And Backward Classes, Assam_._ _The first name on the joint fixed deposit account must exclusively be that of the woman._ _The financial incentives provided are strictly subject to the availability of budget provision and the sanction of funds from the Government._ _The joint fixed deposit has a mandatory lock-in period of three years._ _There is absolutely no facility permitted for the premature encashment of the fixed deposit amount during the lock-in period._

The scheme provides a financial incentive of ₹5,000/- to the meritorious boys from Scheduled Castes who have secured 80% or above marks in the HSSLC examination. The objective is to motivate and encourage SC students to pursue higher studies and bring them at par with the rest.

Benefit: A financial incentive of ₹5,000/- will be provided.

The scheme aims to promote economic empowerment and livelihood diversification among Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities through fisheries-based activities.

Benefit: Under this scheme: - Fishermen who already own ponds are provided a 60% subsidy for repairing or improving their ponds, or for undertaking duck/poultry farming and other integrated activities. - To connect landless individuals with fish processing and marketing businesses, a 60% subsidy of ₹1,50,000/- is provided against the cost of a mobile fish stall amounting to ₹2,50,000/-. - A 60% subsidy of ₹42,000/- is provided against the cost of ₹70,000/- for the improvement of a 100-square-meter pond. - A 60% subsidy of ₹3,00,000/- is provided against the cost of ₹5,00,000/- for the improvement of a 10-hectare pond in plain areas. - A 60% subsidy of ₹83,000/- is provided against the cost of ₹1,39,000/- for establishing one integrated unit (chicken/duck/banana/papaya) in mountainous areas. - In plain areas, a grant of 60%, i.e. ₹3,96,000/-, is provided against the cost of construction of one integrated unit valued at ₹6,60,000/-.
