Benefit: Financial support will be for an amount of ₹20 Lakhs including institutional overheads for a period of one year. 1. The grant will cover Fellowship @ ₹35,000/- per month + 10% HRA (for M.Sc & M.Tech); ₹45,000/- per month + HRA (for Ph.D.); Capital Cost ≤ 25% of project cost (which includes minor equipment, infrastructure, rent ); Operational Cost ≤ 30% of project cost (consumables & outsource Services cost); contingency ≤ apart from institutional overhead (≤10%- subject to a maximum of ₹1.00 Lakh only). 1. In the first phase, Full Capital Cost, six months of the fellowship, 50% Operational Cost and 50% of Institutional overhead will be released to the host institution at the time of implementation of programme as soon as the start of programme is intimated to KSCSTE by the host institution. 1. In the second phase, 30% of the grant will be released (without institutional overhead), after 6 months of evaluation of the programme. 1. In the third phase, the remaining 20% of the grant and 50% of institutional overhead will be released after the successful completion of programme and submission of relevant documents to KSCSTE including onsite evaluation. 1. The institutional overhead (10% of project cost) is subject to a maximum of ₹1.00 Lakh only. 1. Maximum number of grants awarded per year would be 3 - 5 across all subject areas. Note: After a period of one year, the extension of programme period is not encouraged. Only in rare and exceptional cases, depending on the necessity and progress of programme, no-cost extension will be considered. Such a period of extension will be limited to a maximum of six months.

The scheme aims at the economic upliftment of the SC/ST, SMF, and BPL Families. Through this scheme, financial assistance in the form of a subsidy is provided to SC/ST, SMF, and BPL families.
Benefit: Financial Assistance In The Form Of Subsidy 1. Financial assistance in the form of a subsidy shall be provided to the individual beneficiary on the following items: - Construction of poultry shed. - Purchase cost of reared pullets up to the age of 18-21 weeks old. - Poultry equipments. - Purchase cost of feed for the period of 4 months (till the beneficiary starts earning from the sale price of egg produce). 1. Each beneficiary will be provided 50% subsidy to the total cost of the unit (i.e., total cost of purchase of Pullets, poultry feed, poultry equipments and construction of poultry shed, etc.), limited to ₹30,000/- per unit. 1. The beneficiary will be entitled to get the benefit of the scheme for a period of two years or till he becomes self-sufficient. 1. The financial assistance should be used only for the purpose for which it may be granted. Disbursement of Funds 1. Subsidy will be paid directly to the individual or to the suppliers or to the body supplying goods or to an approved agency or institution. 1. The Veterinary Officer, Daman & Diu, would disburse the assistance in the form of a subsidy after completion of the poultry unit in respect of the construction of a poultry shed, which should be of low-input technology. 1. Purchase of Pullets, feed, or equipment directly to the individual supplier, body, or an approved agency or institution. 1. The Extension Officer (Dairy) or Veterinary Officer (DP) will make a fortnightly payment to the beneficiary for the supply of eggs regularly. 1. Subsidy shall be disbursed after completion of the poultry unit. 1. The beneficiary will be entitled to get the benefit of the scheme for a period of two years or till he becomes self-sufficient.
