Bhagavan Buddha Post SSC Scholarship launched by the Ministry of Education, Government of Gujarat. A scheme was introduced with the aim to encourage SC girl students to continue their higher studies after SSC.

"Big Loan Scheme" aims to provide term loans up to ₹5,00,000/- for income-generating activities to eligible applicants from specific targets groups like SC, OBC, Minorities, Safai Karamcharis, and PwDs. The scheme is implemented by DSFDC in collaboration with National Apex Corporations.

Benefit: Term loan of up to ₹5,00,000/- as a part of the total project cost / loan demanded by the aspirant applicants/beneficiaries on case to case basis. _Repay the loan in 60 monthly installments over five years with a six-month moratorium period._ _For Persons with Disabilities, the maximum repayment period is ten years with a three-month moratorium period._

The "Birsa Harit Gram Yojana" by the Rural Development Department, Government of Jharkhand, promotes afforestation while generating sustainable livelihoods. It supports SC, ST, and landless families through plantation activities under MGNREGA, ensuring income and environmental sustainability.

Benefit: Plantation of fruit-bearing and fodder trees on common land and private land. Sustainable livelihood generation for marginalized families. Employment guarantee of 100 days under MGNREGA. Usufruct rights over the plantation for beneficiaries.

The scheme provides free textbooks to Adi Dravidar/Tribal students pursuing professional courses like Medical, Engineering, Law, MBA, and others, which must be returned to the library after course completion.

Benefit: Free Textbooks Access: Books are shared between two (2) students at free of cost. Note: On completion of the course the students should return the books to the Library.

The Skill Development & Technical Education Department launched the BOC Scholarship on 1 December 2022 so that the students pursuing or undertaking technical education will be able to pursue it finally without facing any kind of financial difficulties.

Benefit: This scholarship offers various opportunities to SC-category students across the world. Under this scheme, the selected students will receive variable financial support from the Odisha government. Under the BOC scholarship, no living costs of the students are covered.

The scheme aims to support Adi Dravidar/Tribal communities by providing burial grounds and pathways in areas where such facilities are not available.

Benefit: Access to Dignified Burial Services: Provision of land for burial grounds.

The scheme “Cattle Shed Subsidy Scheme under Scheduled Castes Sub Plan (SCSP)” is implemented by the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Government of Gujarat. Under this scheme, the financial assistance is given to Scheduled Caste beneficiaries for construction of Cattle Shed for 2 animals.

Benefit: Under the scheme, financial assistance of either ₹30,000/- or 50% of the cost of the cattle shed, whichever is less, is provided to Scheduled Caste beneficiaries for the construction of a cattle shed for two animals.

The scheme provides opportunities to Scheduled Castes students to pursue higher education leading to M.Phil/Ph.D degrees in Sciences, Humanities and Social Science streams. The objective of the scheme is to provide fellowships in the form of financial assistance to SC students.

Benefit: Number of Slots The scheme provides for 2000 new Fellowships (1500 Junior Research Fellows for Humanities/ Social Sciences and 500 Junior Research Fellows for Science stream) per year. These slots are over and above the number of SC students selected under the normal reservation policy of the Government for UGC Fellowships. Validity The fellowship shall be paid from the date of issue of the JRF award letter under the Scheme for National Fellowship or the date of joining the M.Phil./Ph.D., whichever is later. The fellowship shall be granted upto the date of submission of the Ph.D. thesis or five years of tenure, whichever is earlier. No extension is permissible beyond the total period of five years of fellowship. Confirmation for continuation of the fellowship shall be given by the University twice a year on a semester basis within the 10th of the initial month of the semester. Based on this certification, the research scholars would be released the fellowship within the 15th of every month without any further intervention of the university. With regard to the combined course of M.Phil and PhD, Fellowship will be provided initially for 02 years for M.Phil and after upgradation to Ph.D course, for another 03 years. In case of integrated Ph.D. or M.Phil. to Ph.D., the maximum tenure is 5 years including the M.Phil. period of fellowship. For doing M.Phil., fellowship shall be granted for two years or upto the date of submission of the M.Phil. dissertation, whichever is earlier. The scheme aims to ensure effective implementation of Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955 and Prevention of Atrocities Act, 1989. It provides relief, rehabilitation, and support to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes victims of atrocities and incentives for inter-caste marriages.

Benefit: Financial Assistance Relief and rehabilitation support for atrocity victims (specific amounts vary by state implementation). Incentive amounts for inter-caste marriages ranging from ₹10,000/- to ₹5,00,000/- depending on the state. The scheme aims to upgrade the merit of Scheduled Caste students by providing them with facilities for all round development through education in residential or non-residential schools, addressing their educational deficiencies that prevent them from taking advantage of reservation quotas.

Benefit: Package Grant ₹25,000/- per student per year with the following breakdown: _₹15,000/- per student per year comprising -_ Boarding and Lodging Charges: ₹900/- per month for 10 months = ₹9,000/- (for residential school students only) Pocket Money: ₹300/- per month for 10 months = ₹3,000/- Books and Stationery: ₹3,000/- _₹10,000/- per year per student -_ For honorarium to Principal, Experts and other incidental charges. Additional Benefits for Students with Disabilities _Reader Allowance:_ ₹200/- per month for blind students in classes IX to XII.- _Transport Allowance:_ ₹100/- per month for disabled students not residing in hostel within educational institution premises.- _Special Pay:_ ₹200/- per month for hostel employees assisting severely orthopaedically handicapped students.- _Escort Allowance:_ ₹100/- per month for severely handicapped day scholar students with lower extremity disability.- _Allowance:_ ₹200/- per month towards extra coaching for mentally retarded and mentally ill students in classes IX to XII. Conditions Students must maintain regular attendance and academic performance as monitored by school authorities. Students must complete the full coaching program from Class IX to XII to derive maximum benefit. Compliance with the transparent selection and monitoring process established by State Governments.

The "Charmashilpa Scheme" aims to modernize the leather artisans' production methods by offering financial assistance to setup mechanized production units. This support helps leather artisan SHGs and cooperative societies enhance the quality of their products, making them more competitive.

Benefit: Total Financial Assistance: ₹10,00,000/- per unit. ₹5,00,000/- as subsidy. ₹5,00,000/- as a bank loan. Breakdown of costs: ₹3,50,000/- for machinery. ₹6,00,000/- for working capital (raw materials and labor). ₹50,000 for other expenses.

Launched in 1966-67, the scheme "Chhatrawas" is a welfare scheme by the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department, Govt of MP. The scheme provides free residential facilities in Scheduled Caste hostels for boys and girls studying in educational institutions.

Benefit: Financial Support: Students receive ₹1460/- to ₹1500/- per month. Additional Facilities: Food, Hostel, Material Assistance, Scholarship, Free Food and Accommodation, Sports Equipment, Cosmetic Kit and Library Facility.

The scheme offers ₹3,000/- per year for five years to 1000 boys and 1000 girls from SC/ST communities, based on their plus 2 public examination marks, provided they continue their education.

Benefit: Financial Support: ₹3,000/- per year for five consecutive years.

The "Civil Service Incentive Scheme (Madhya Pradesh)" scheme by the Tribal Welfare and Scheduled Caste (SC) Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh provides an incentive amount to encourage SC/ST candidates to appear in Civil Services Examinations.

Benefit: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) ₹40,000 for passing the preliminary examination. ₹60,000 for passing the main examination. ₹50,000 for getting selected in the interview. State Public Service Commission (MPSC) ₹20,000 for passing the preliminary examination. ₹30,000 for passing the main examination. ₹25,000 for getting selected in the interview.

The scheme is an initiative launched by the Government of Rajasthan to provide free coaching to students from economically weaker sections (EWS) and socially backward communities for various competitive exams such as IAS, RAS, and other government job recruitment exams.

The scheme aims to provide handholding support in the form of remedial coaching to students studying in government academic institutions or institutions receiving grant-in-aid support from the Government, who belong to minority, OBC or SC communities of the State of Manipur.

Benefit: The scheme provides free-of-cost remedial coaching to selected students. The coaching aims to help eligible students who are weak in studies to achieve higher grades/marks in English, Mathematics, and Science subjects. The duration of the coaching program for each class is 6 months. Mode of Disbursement: Fund will be released to the Coaching Centres (CC) as cost for conducting coaching classes. Frequency of Disbursement: The fund will be released in installments. The first installment, amounting to 40% of the cost, will be released in advance upon commencement of classes after signing a contract agreement with the Implementing Agency. The second installment, amounting to 40% of the cost, will be released upon utilisation of 90% of the first installment of funds and continuation of coaching of at least 90% of the initial number of beneficiary students enrolled after completion of two months of the course. The third installment, amounting to 10% of the cost, will be released upon completion of the course and after assessment of the quality of the coaching classes as satisfactory, based on measured feedback from the students, to be made by the Implementing Agency. The final installment of 10% of the cost will be released after at least 80% of the beneficiary students taking their final academic assessment examination in their respective schools have cleared the same.

The scheme provides financial assistance to Students of SC category who are preparing for all State Government and Central Government Recruitment Examinations of Class– 1, 2 & 3 conducted by UPSC/GPSC/State Commission/Bank/LIC/Subordinate Services Selection Board/District Panchayat Selection Board.

Benefit: Under this scheme, ₹20,000/- or the actual fee to be paid, whichever is less. 1. The assistance amount is directly credited to the student's bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

The scheme “Coaching Assistance Scheme for Scheduled Caste Students for Pre-Exam Preparation like NEET, JEE, GUJCET” was launched by the Govt. of Gujarat during the year 2014-15 to provide coaching assistance to students of Scheduled Caste category who are preparing for exams like NEET, JEE, GUJCET.

Benefit: Under this scheme, ₹20000/- or the actual fee to be paid whichever is less. The assistance amount is directly credited to the student's bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

Under the scheme, financial assistance is provided to Students of the Scheduled Castes category who are preparing for examinations like IIM, NIFT, NLU, and CEPT.

Benefit: Under this scheme, ₹20,000/- or the actual coaching fee to be paid, whichever is less.

Coaching schemes for students belonging to SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled Tribe), OBC (Other Backward Classes) (non-creamy layer), and minority communities are implemented to provide them with equal opportunities and support in pursuing higher education.

Benefit: The institutions can apply for one or more components of the scheme according to the number of enrolment of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and Minorities Communities Students. If, the number of students in a particular class is more, additional section(s) may be included. Financial assistance is available for the following items: Non-recurring items: A “one-time” grant up to Rs. 5.0 lakhs for each scheme during the XII Plan period for the following items: Books and Journals Audio-visual and teaching/ learning aid material Computers with Printer Photocopier Generator or Inverter Recurring Items: Rs.7.00 lakhs for universities for each scheme per annum for expenditure on the following items: Honorarium to the Coordinator of the schemes @Rs. 2000/- per month Remuneration to teachers and scholars Part-time staff with computer knowledge (on a contract basis) @ 6,000/- p.m. Part-time Peon/Attendant.@ Rs.1000/- p.m Contingency - Rs 50,000/- per annum Remuneration at the rate of Rs. 300/- per hour per subject to the teachers and Rs.200 /- per hour to postgraduate students/ Research Scholars could be paid for theory classes and Rs.150/-per hour respectively for practicals. Generally, a faculty member should not teach for more than 2 hours a day. However, in exceptional cases where an eminent educationist is invited for a Special lecture, the remuneration @ Rs.500/- per hour and admissible T.A. could be paid with the approval of the Head of the Institution. The payment of remuneration to the participating teachers, PG students, and research scholars may be paid regularly every month without waiting for the pending grant from the UGC. The final amount of grant to be allocated would depend upon the number of schemes, the number of students enrolled for the schemes in the proposal, and the decision of the Committee appointed for serving the applicants for these schemes.
